Lilly Ledbetter

Fair pay advocate and the namesake of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the first bill signed into law by President Obama. The act was passed in response to a 2007 Supreme Court ruling that rejected her claim of pay discrimination at a tire plant in Alabama where she worked for 19 years. Lilly Ledbetter is the author of Grace and Grit: My Fight for Equal Pay and Fairness at Goodyear and Beyond.
