Longtime British journalist. Her new book is titled Shadow Lives: The Forgotten Women of the War on Terror. She has also co-authored a memoir by former Guantánamo prisoner Moazzam Begg called Enemy Combatant and a play, Guantánamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom. She worked as the associate foreign editor at The Guardian newspaper for 20 years.
